In the past, ESEA provided a feature that utilized the game’s ‘message of the day’-functionality to display information in-game. With CSGO’s Panorama update, that functionality was removed from the game, rendering us unable to display information in-game as we had before. With this update we launched new functionality in the ESEA Client that lets us display information in-game again. The first iteration of this feature primarily focuses on providing a clear overview of stats from the live match. However, we plan to let this technology support and enhance existing and future ESEA features.
You can open and close the overlay in-game by pressing the designated hotkey(default: insert), or by typing ‘.stats’ in the in-game chat. See below for information on how to reconfigure the hotkey.
How to configure the overlay
If you don’t wish to enable this feature, you can disable it by navigating to the Client’s settings. The settings also let you change the hotkey that brings up the overlay in-game. See below for a screenshot depicting how to navigate to these settings:
