Congratulations on your recent prize! Whether you have won a cash prize in Rank S/G or the League or in another ESEA competition the process is mostly the same.
- First, you need to verify your account. If you do not have access to the verification tab or it tells you that it is “not required” then please open a support ticket and request that we enable that for you. Please note that if you are under 16 then you should have your parent/guardian fill this in for you using their own information and photographs. To be clear: if you are under 16 you should not fill this out with your information or your photograph. Your parent/guardian submits it with their information and their photograph. - If this is an individual prize such as Rank S/G then you do not need to complete this (2) step. However, if it is a team-based prize like the ESEA League then you must fill out a prize form that is emailed to you at the end of the competition. You will write in your personal information and indicate how the prize money should be broken down between the team. We can make the payment to one person OR organisation OR multiple people. It is up to your team to decide and indicate on their forms. We would advise each player completes the process and have ESEA split the money between players rather than relying on a single member of the team to receive everything and then distribute.
If you do not receive this email by at maximum a week after the competition is over please make a support ticket and a staff member will manually send it to you. Most likely, the email was originally sent but went to spam.
- Payments are grouped into more significant batches that go out each week. There may be a slight cooldown period depending on the competition before you are added to a batch. For example, for the League, we have a short break to allow players to dispute the breakdown by other team members to prevent a single member claiming everything before the other members of the team have had their say. Once that period is over you will then receive an email from email@example.com to claim the amount that you have claimed in your forms. If you have not done so already you may need to answer a questionnaire which will identify your tax status once per the calendar year. Once that is finished you will be able to instantly withdraw to PayPal, receive a bank check, or you can work with Matcherino to identify an alternative payment method for your country.
