When you try to run the ESEA Client or launch a game from the ESEA Client, if your security software notifies you it has blocked or quarantined the ESEA Client or an associated file, this is a false-positive. The nature of the ESEA Client can look odd to security software, as the ESEA Client itself secures the game from all threats, at times, including system security software.
If your trouble persists, please attempt to whitelist or add as an exception to your security software, the following:
- ESEA Client executable
- ESEA Client folder
- Your game folder
In the event adding whitelists or exceptions to your security software does not resolve the issue, you can temporarily disable your software or uninstall it completely. Please note that we do not provide support for third-party software, but we can try to assist or point you in the right direction. Open a support ticket if you have any further questions.
I am unable to install the client.
You can first attempt to whitelist or add an exclusion for the client. If that does not work, you will need to fully uninstall the security programs that you have on your computer (temporarily of course). Sometimes when you add an exception for the ESEA client or have just disabled the software it can still cause an issue just from being on your computer.
As soon as you have uninstalled all of the security programs, proceed to once again uninstall the ESEA client, download and then install a fresh copy of the ESEA client with zero security software installed this time.
