You may wish to play on a different account for a variety of reasons. We don’t have a problem if you want to do it, in fact, we work with some high tier players to create alternate accounts that allow them to play without being hassled constantly. However, players with multiple accounts should never expect their alternate identity to remain hidden. A player may have as many accounts as he or she wants, however, if a player is found to be smurfing, defined below, the user’s alternate account will be banned for Smurfing.
As always, please make sure you are following the ESEA League Rules if you are using an alternate account for any reason and competing in the League. The ESEA League has various mechanisms to keep players within the rules. For example, a single player can only join one team per 7 days and will be blocked from doing otherwise. However, by using multiple accounts these will not trigger. As a result, we would recommend not using multiple accounts to play in the ESEA League.
You will also not be issued a prize in the RWS, Rank Leaderboards or any prize category where a significant advantage would be gained by starting at a lower PUG rank. It is up to the staff member's discretion which accounts qualify for prizes at the end of the month. If in doubt then please make a support ticket.
Smurfing: If you are an above-average skill level player creating a new account to pretend that you are brand new to ESEA and/or Counter-Strike with the intention of duping the community into believing you belong on the ban list, your account will be banned for Smurfing and your main account will be issued a ban for Website Abuse.
