You will be issued a pug leave anytime you leave a server before the PUG has completed and the game is completely over. This includes if you disconnect whilst the bomb is being defused or after all members of a team have been eliminated.
Below is a breakdown of the pug leave system and the associated penalties.
- 1st Leave (-1 karma) - 15-minute ban except when rejoining the same pug
- 2nd Leave (-2 karma) - 1-hour ban except when rejoining the same pug
- 3rd Leave (-4 karma) - 2-hour ban except when rejoining the same pug
- 4th Leave (-8 karma) - 24-hour ban except when rejoining the same pug
In addition, you must rejoin the PUG before your server slot has expired for your pug leave to be removed. Any karma lost due to leaving the server is not restored, even when rejoining the same PUG.
How do I get a PUG leave removed?
Our staff do not remove PUG leaves (other than for invalid kicks) so you have to wait out the temporary ban. If our staff were to remove PUG leaves on request then it would defeat the purpose of them as a method of self-moderation to punish players who disrupt other players' games.
How long does a PUG leave last?
All PUG leaves are only temporary and reset 24 hours after the first leave except when you receive four PUG leaves within twenty-four hours in which case the ban extends for twenty-four hours after your last leave.
